Trip Tips UK 2: London

Hi guys

I've decided to do a serie of posts to talk about my trips and to give you some tips to where to go, and what to do.

The first one is the amazing LONDON...so here we go!

One of the London's is the Big Ben, or, The Westminster Abbey (Abadia de Westminster), and it's probably one of the favourite tourist spost in the whole city.

To get there, the best way is use the London Underground (the most famous in the world), and you can stop at Westminster or Embakment.

To see how the London underground works, get it in London Underground webpage

If you are at Westminster Bridge, you can also see the London Eye and the Thames River, and from the Abbey you can get there on foot.

To get in at London Eye or to do the River Thames cruise (it's cool), or any other attracions as Madame Tussaud or Sea life, it's a good idea do buy combined tickets, it's much much cheaper.

You can get more information on this linkVisit London webpage

This is the Invisible Bridge, you can see during the Thames cruise, and it is the bridge where the Hogwarts Express pass by, when it goes to School.

If you are luck (and that's is not at all that difficult), you can get such nice days on London, and If this happens, go enjoy the market and fairs the city offers to you.

The Notting Hill Fair, Portobello, is open on Sundays afternoons and there you can find old things from beatles, and your favorite bands, plenty of different canvas or a nice dress.
They serve a great chicken sandwich there as well, near the old "nothing hill book store" (it has changed for different address, but it's all on the same area)
Other fairs and markets, you must visit are Covent Garden (there you HAVE to try Ben's cookies, the best cookie you have ever had, and go the hambuguer restaurants), Canden Town, the london alternative neighbour, and Borought Market. Here you can find more information about it: Top 10 London Markets

If your plan is do shopping in London, you can't miss Picadilly circus, and of course, Oxford street, one of the most famous shopping streets in the World. To get there you can go to Picaddily Circus or Oxford Street station and walk around.

Other two very very famous tourism spots on the city are the St. Paul's Cathedral (one of my favourite places on the city) and the Tower Bridge (London Bridge).
You can visit the cathedral everyday, and it's free, but if you want go to the Dom you need to pay £16.00 (adults), family tickets are available. The Dom cannot be visited on Sundays. For more information this is the website: St Paul's webpage

You can also get in the Tower Bridge. It is open everyday and you can find more information here: Tower Bridge webpage

If you do not know where to stay, the London Hostels association indicate a plenty of places for you, this is their website: http://www.london-hostels.co.uk/uk/pages/hostels/Leinster-House.aspx
